At Ohana Downtown, we honor that tradition while bringing a modern twist to the experience. Kava is still prepared the classic way, by kneading the ground root into cold water, but it’s also available in formats like ready-to-drink cans, concentrates, and tinctures. Every option starts with noble kava, a variety known for its smooth taste and balanced, feel-good effects.

What Does Kava Feel Like?
Most people feel calm, relaxed, and more socially open after drinking kava, all while staying clear-headed and present. It’s not a “high” or a “buzz.” We think of it more like a steady chill that settles in gradually. At Ohana Downtown, we encourage new drinkers to take it slow and allow time for the effects to build.
